Help with spending habits and financial follow-through

Goalpost Finance offers one-on-one money habits coaching for people who understand what they want to do but keep slipping back into the same pattern. Sam helps you notice what happens around spending and avoidance, choose practical routines, and stay engaged with your plan after the initial motivation fades.

This is for the gap between knowing and doing. It can be part of paying off debt, saving consistently, or simply feeling able to look at your finances without postponing it again.

The recommended plan is $250/month, designed for 12 months of work. The $400/month option lets you decide one month at a time. Both include the same support, are billed monthly, and can be canceled at any time.

Both include a 90-minute assessment, a personal plan, private calls every two weeks, unlimited text and email support, and your Goalpost portal. You work directly with Sam Krupit, founder of Goalpost Finance, virtually across the United States. No commissions, product sales, or referral fees.

Which part keeps getting in the way?

Start with a pattern you recognize. We can work on one useful change at a time.

Spending happens before the decision

A purchase feels small in the moment. Later, several of them have used the money you intended to save. Look at the situations and timing around those decisions, not just the total at the end.

You avoid looking

A missed target turns into unopened statements or another week without checking. Build a review routine that helps you make the next decision without turning it into a judgment on the whole month.

One setback becomes a restart

The plan works until an expensive weekend or a difficult week. Agree on what to do after that happens, so getting back to the plan is a step you can take rather than a fresh start you keep putting off.

Make a familiar pattern something you can work on

For example, suppose shopping after a demanding workday keeps taking money away from a savings goal. We could look at when it happens, what you want that spending to do for you, and a change you are willing to try.

That might be a pause before checking out, a planned amount you can spend freely, or a different way to review purchases. At the next session, we look at what actually happened. You help choose the routine; Sam helps you evaluate and adjust it.

The point is to find something useful in your real life. A harsher rule is not automatically a better plan.

What working on the habit looks like

1

Understand the pattern

Start with your financial picture and the moments when the plan becomes hard to follow. Your 90-minute assessment gives the work context.

2

Choose a manageable next step

Agree on a routine, spending decision, or check-in you can try. Connect it to a clear purpose, such as less borrowing or more consistent saving.

3

Review what happened

Meet every two weeks to talk through the real week, including the parts that did not work. Keep your notes and next actions in the Goalpost portal.

4

Build on what helps

Keep useful routines and change the ones that add friction. You can text or email Sam between sessions when a decision or setback needs attention.

Questions about money habits coaching

What is money habits coaching?

It is practical support for the choices and routines around money: spending, checking accounts, following a budget, and returning to a plan after a setback. At Goalpost, Sam connects those habits to your actual finances and checks in with you every two weeks.

How is this different from budget coaching?

Budget coaching focuses on what your income needs to cover and how to organize it. Habits work focuses on what happens when you try to follow that plan. You can work on both with Sam, but the starting problem is different.

Can you help with impulse spending?

We can look at when spending happens, what makes the decision easy, and what practical change you want to try. That could mean a purchase pause, a planned spending amount, or a different review routine. We discuss what happened at the next check-in and adjust it.

Do I need to be in debt?

No. You may want to save more consistently, stop avoiding your accounts, or follow through on decisions you already know you want to make. If debt is the main pressure, debt coaching adds a payoff plan.

Is this financial therapy or mental-health treatment?

No. Goalpost works on practical money routines, planning, and accountability. Sam does not provide psychotherapy, diagnose conditions, or treat compulsive behavior. A licensed mental-health professional is the right source for those needs.

What happens between sessions?

You agree on manageable next steps, keep the plan and notes in your private Goalpost portal, and can text or email Sam when a question comes up. We review what happened in private calls every two weeks.

How much does money habits coaching cost?

The recommended plan is $250/month, designed for 12 months of work. The $400/month option lets you decide one month at a time. Both include the same support, are billed monthly, and can be canceled at any time. Both include a 90-minute assessment, a personal plan, private calls every two weeks, unlimited text and email support, and your Goalpost portal. See services and pricing.

What happens on the free call?

Describe the pattern that keeps getting in your way and what you have already tried. Sam will explain how working together could help and answer questions about the process and cost. You do not need a polished budget or complete records to start the conversation.

You do not have to keep starting over.

Tell Sam what keeps pulling you away from the plan. Talk about how personal support could help you make the next change stick.
