Financial Coaching Services, Plans & Pricing

Private 1-on-1 coaching for professionals and households who earn money, carry debt, or keep restarting financial plans without understanding why nothing changes.

We start with the person, not a product: your cash flow, upcoming expenses, checking-account margin, debt, and the decisions you need to make. Then we build a plan you can actually sustain.

The most popular option is $250/month

A 12-month relationship, billed monthly. Both options include private 1:1 coaching, the Goalpost portal, decision support, and accountability — with no product or referral fees.

What you get access to after session one

Your plan, your numbers, your projected debt-free date

Not a spreadsheet emailed once and forgotten. A private portal that stays current between sessions.

A payoff date that updates

Every balance you log moves the date. It is a projection, not a promise — but it is your projection, from your numbers.

Session notes you can go back to

What you covered, what you agreed to do, and whether it got done. Nothing depends on either of us remembering.

Where the money actually went

Spending grouped into categories against your budget, so the leaks are visible instead of theoretical.

Open to your partner, if you want

Couples can share one plan and one set of numbers. Or keep it to yourself. Your call, either way.

Your financial privacy is protected. We work from statements you choose to share — never account credentials or login access.

Both options can be canceled at any time. Coaching is a relationship, and it only works when both people are on board. If it stops feeling useful or simply is not the right fit, tell Sam and future payments will be canceled. See the terms.

Both options include the same coaching

Private 1-on-1 with Sam, start to finish. The only thing that changes is the length of the coaching relationship and the monthly price.

Getting started

  • A 90-minute deep dive — every balance, rate and minimum payment mapped in one sitting
  • Your projected debt-free date — a specific month and year, calculated live from your numbers
  • A payoff order across every debt — based on your actual rates, including promo rates before they expire
  • A budget built on your real spending — from what actually left your account, not a template

The ongoing work

  • Coaching calls every two weeks, plus unlimited text and email in between
  • A bill-by-bill review — phone, insurance, internet, subscriptions — and the exact scripts to make those calls yourself
  • A monthly look at where the money went, categorised, so the leaks are visible instead of theoretical
  • Written action items after every call, tracked until they’re done — not left to memory
  • The plan rebuilt when life interrupts — a bad month adjusts the plan, it doesn’t end it

What you use throughout

  • A private client portal — your plan, balances, session notes and payoff date, with partner access if you’re doing this together

Ready to begin? Choose a plan and pay securely above. Still deciding? Start with the free call, and if coaching isn’t the right fit Sam will say so.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plan do most people actually start with?

Most clients choose the 12-month coaching relationship at $250/month. It is designed to give you enough time to make meaningful financial changes with ongoing support, and it has the lowest monthly rate.

The flexible month-to-month option is $400/month for clients who prefer deciding one month at a time how long to continue. Both options include the same coaching, are billed monthly, and can be canceled at any time.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes—you can cancel at any time. Coaching is a relationship, and it only works when both of us are on board. If it stops feeling useful or simply isn’t the right fit, just tell me. No guilt trip and no awkward sales pitch. My job is to help you make progress, not keep you paying for something you no longer want.

What if the monthly cost feels like a stretch right now?

Say so on the free call. We will look at your actual numbers and decide whether coaching makes financial sense right now.

Sometimes the honest answer is no. Goalpost earns nothing from a loan, product, or referral, so there is no incentive to recommend coaching when another option fits better.

For context, $20,000 at 20% APR generates roughly $333 of interest in the first month before any principal reduction. That does not make coaching free. It gives you a concrete comparison to run against the problem you are trying to solve.

How long will it take to get out of debt?

That depends on what you owe, the rates, and how much you can sustainably pay without returning to the cards. Anyone who gives you a timeline before knowing those numbers is guessing.

In the first paid session, we map every balance, rate and minimum payment and calculate a projected debt-free date. You can also run your own numbers first with the debt payoff calculator.

It is a projection, not a promise. Part of the work is forecasting irregular expenses and adjusting the plan when life changes.

Do I need perfect credit to work with you?

No. Credit score is not a filter here, and it is not really the point. This work is about paying off what you owe and building a system that holds — not about qualifying you for anything.

We do not pull your credit, we do not sell credit repair, and we have no lender relationships that would benefit from your score moving one way or the other. Scores generally do improve as balances come down, but that is a side effect of the plan working, not the goal of it.

Are you a licensed financial advisor?

No. Financial advisors generally focus on investments, retirement, or wealth management. Goalpost is a financial coaching practice focused on cash flow, debt payoff, budgeting, decisions, and accountability.

The roles are different rather than competing. Some people use a coach first, some need an advisor, and some eventually use both. Goalpost provides no investment advice, does not manage money, and sells no financial products.
